How to Cite a Picture

Title/Caption of Picture. (URL goes in the Works Cited)
A caption is just a name you give to describe the picture you're using. Use a caption when the picture you're using doesn't have a title, or when it's a picture that you took yourself.
Example:
A Flying Squirrel
2. Flying Squirrel. ← (This is what goes under your picture)
(For this example, we are pretending this is the second picture used. That's why there is a number 2.)
Grades 2-5
This is what goes in your Works Cited: *
* If you take the picture yourself, you don't need to have it in your Works Cited.
